Buying fabric online has one real risk: the cloth arrives and it is not what you pictured. A card costs almost nothing and removes that risk. We would rather send you a card than argue about a return.
Swatch card
The current stock range, cut to card, labelled with specification and dye lot.
A4 sample
A larger piece of a single article, for drape, hand feel and a test wash.
Sample length
One to three metres of a named article, enough for a toile or a fit sample.
Why we insist on it
Screen colour is not fabric colour. Check the shade under the light you will sell under.
Hand feel and drape cannot be read from a specification table.
Shrinkage and weight are the two things most likely to surprise you. Test them yourself first.
Cut-to-order lengths are not returnable, so the card is where the decision should happen.
